What We Believe

We believe that the old and new testament scriptures are inspired by God, without error and serve as the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinguishable yet indivisible persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

(Luke 3:21-22; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is fully divine and fully human.

(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 26-38)

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent into the world by both the Father and the Son to guide believers in understanding and applying the scriptures.

(John 14:16-17, 26; 1 Corinthians 2:9-14)

We believe that humanity was created in God’s image, sinned through disobedience creating separation from God.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5: 12-21)

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; that he rose victorious from the grave once again to return; and that all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are saved.

(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-11)

We believe that the local church is a primary instrument of God for the growing and grooming of disciples through communal worship, prayer, meals, fellowship and the observance of the Holy Sacraments of baptism and communion.

(Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16)

We believe that baptism and communion (The Lord’s Supper) are visible signs of both salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, 12:13)
